Both the whole cane sugar and cocoa come from cooperatives that farm sustainably, without using chemical fertilisers or pesticides, respecting local biodiversity and the health of those who work the land. Defatted cocoa powder provides an interesting combination of essential nutrients. It is rich in natural antioxidants, such as polyphenols and flavonoids, which help protect cells against oxidative stress.
