<\/p>\nMonths after the shipment of books from the enLibrate project, we have received fresh news from the San Jos\u00e9 de Nica School.<\/p>\n

This school is one of the 9 beneficiaries of the project \"El Rinc\u00f3n de la Lectura\" promoted by Alternativa 3 and the Augusto Cesar Sandino Cooperative of Nicaragua.<\/p>\n
It is part of the EnLibrate project of Fundaci\u00f3n Log\u00edstica Justa and Fundaci\u00f3n SEUR, with the collaboration of Fundaci\u00f3n CARES and the Ayuntamiento de<\/p>\n

San Jos\u00e9 is a rural region located in the tropical mountains of Nicaragua's interior. To reach this area, you have to cross the Guapotal roads until you reach the narrow path that leads you to the community.<\/p>\n
Following the shipment of books and furniture, a small children's library was set up so that children in the community could enjoy reading.<\/p>\n
Today, a year after the solidarity mission, Pablo tells us how things are going there.<\/p>\n

Pablo is the teacher in charge of the school. He is 23 years old and is a native of San Jos\u00e9. Thanks to his efforts and the scholarship programme, he became the teacher of the community.<\/p>\n
Pablo works in a primary school with 54 pupils. Some of them come from more distant villages, and every day they walk for miles to get an education.<\/p>\n
Pablo explains that the library has been a revolution in the community, both for the children and for the rest of the family. Until then, only study books had come to the area and there were almost no textbooks to read.<\/p>\n
The library itself has set up a lending system so that children can take books home after school to read and enjoy them with their parents, aunts and uncles, grandparents and the rest of the family. He tells us how every day he spends some time in class asking about the experiences the pupils are having: what the stories in the books are about, who they have been reading the books with and what sensations they have been able to create in them. Pablo tells us that every day they tell different stories from the fantastic world of books, and that the social project has undoubtedly served to promote reading among all the inhabitants of San Jos\u00e9.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
