This cooperative has been working since 1980 to guarantee fair prices and to maintain natural resources, with a commitment to sustainable and ecological agriculture. Its model promotes shade cultivation, a traditional technique that protects biodiversity and allows for a more balanced development of coffee plantations, avoiding soil degradation.
In addition to promoting environmentally friendly practices, Unión de la Selva promotes education, health and training programmes for its producers and their families. Thanks to its work, the producer communities are able to improve their living conditions without giving up their agricultural traditions, ensuring a more sustainable future for new generations.
