This blend was born from the joint effort of two producer communities committed to sustainability and Fair Trade. The Unión de la Selva cooperative in Mexico brings together more than 1,400 producers in the Sierra Madre de Chiapas. Its aim is to guarantee decent prices, improve the quality of life of coffee-growing families and preserve biodiversity through organic farming and traditional methods.
The WSSS Organic Farmers Fair-Trade Association (WOFFA) is an organisation of small producers in India that markets Robusta coffee under strict organic and Fair Trade standards. Their work has improved the economic stability of many families without giving up their sustainable agricultural practices.
