Did you know that many of the products we consume hide different forms of child exploitation?

The producers from whom we buy coffee, cocoa and sugar live in Africa, Asia, Central and South America.

In many of their countries of origin, human rights are not respected, women are prohibited from owning land in their own name and child exploitation is systemic.

Many of the products we consume encourage this.

AlterNativa3 is the solution: we offer you ethical choices in everyday consumer products.

Who grows the produce?

Farmers who are aware of the value of their work and who decide to fight for their rights.
Professional and entrepreneurial: they achieve the best quality, comply with all regulations and pay their taxes.

They are not idealistic; they know that trade defines the world, society and relationships between people. That's why they trust you and me to be aware of our power as consumers.

What is a cooperative?

It is a grouping of farmers: the platform they have created allows them to sell their produce at a fair price, defend their rights and improve living conditions in their communities.

AlterNativa3 only works with cooperatives that offer decent working conditions, empower women and eradicate child labour. We create a long-term relationship to contribute to their development.

Where does my money go?

When you buy an item, everyone involved in its production receives a fair payment for their work. Not only in the country of origin, but also here in Spain. We are all equal.

Moreover, AlterNativa3 is not a company, but a cooperative. In other words, the profit is reinvested in R&D for more sustainable packaging, elimination of plastics, training, clean energy...

All AlterNativa3 does is buy raw materials?

No. We also improve the lives of producers through international cooperation projects.

For example, more than 100 young people have received higher education through a scholarship programme.

They now work in cooperatives, defend their rights and contribute to the development of their community.

What can I do?

Support companies that do fair trade.

With every purchase you create a better world. Do you want to go to the online shop?

Yes, buying fair trade products
