Green coffee contains chlorogenic acid.

The biological effects of chlorogenic acid are recognised, as with polyphenols, for their high antioxidant power, but also for their ability to slow down the body's absorption of glucose.

All chlorogenic acids fall into the category of phenolic acids. These acids are naturally used as a defensive component of plants against microbes. They make up between 4 and 9% by weight, dry weight, and are the most abundant acidic component in Arabica coffee.

Chlorogenic acid disappears during the roasting process, its molecules breaking down as the temperature rises. This is why it is only found in green, unroasted coffee.

This 100% Arabica coffee contains no additives or preservatives, straight from the producer to your cup.

It is a Organic Coffee grown without chemical fertilisers or pesticides, by farmers' cooperatives respecting human rights, the environment and social justice. Respecting the principles of Fair Trade.

Green coffee has a slightly bitter taste. It hardly gives off any aroma.

Suggestions for preparation:

Soak (one green coffee bean for every 10kg of weight of the person drinking the infusion) in half a cup of water for about 10 hours, blend or mash and strain. The resulting juice can be drunk once or twice, preferably in the morning.

Fairtrade organic unroasted coffee.

Fair trade is an effective tool for eradicating the poverty and inequalities generated by conventional international trade. Working for gender equality, the eradication of child labour and paying a decent price to the people who grow our ingredients, who organise themselves in cooperatives and make decisions in a democratic way.

Our cooperative is committed to social responsibility policies in all areas: with the producer cooperatives, maintaining long-term relationships; with the consumer, offering maximum quality and transparency; and internally, with policies of family reconciliation, team decision-making, environmentally sustainable surroundings and gender equality. Working in AlterNativa3 allows us to take part in the construction of a better reality in which people are above economic profit.

The producing cooperatives cultivate the products according to traditional, environmentally friendly techniques. No chemicals or artificial additives, which are harmful to health and nature, are used in the further processing.
