Uca San Juan del Rio Coco, R.L. is a union of 8 cooperatives, associating 370 producers, of which 80 are women and 290 men.

Its objective is to promote the economic and social development of the member cooperatives and their members through the economically profitable and ecologically responsible production and marketing of coffee.

Investments are made in improving internal capacities through courses and workshops to develop actions and strategies (especially marketing and financial) to ensure the success of the operation.

Work is currently underway on a cupping laboratory to enable UCA SJRC to profile the quality of the coffee it collects and exports and on a local coffee branding project.
