The CAFE SANT ADRIÀ DE BESÒS is a blend of coffee from the Union de la Selva cooperative in Mexico with a small percentage of Robusta coffee from India, marketed by the WSSS Organic Farmers Fair-Trade Association (WOFFA), an organisation of small producers.
The Network CAFÉ CIUTAT is made up of several municipalities in Catalonia and aims to promote responsible consumption and global justice. To this end, it promotes Fair Trade coffee as a tool for learning about its origin, strengthening links with the producer cooperatives. The fair trade works for fairness in international trade and ensures decent conditions for women workers and producer communities in the South.
Jungle Union is a cooperative that brings together more than 1,400 indigenous producers from 146 communities in the Sierra Madre de Chiapas. It was created in 1980 to respond to the common problems of the peasantry, to ensure fair prices for their coffee and to maintain natural resources deteriorated by the effects of modern monoculture practices. It promotes ecological production that preserves biodiversity through indigenous crops and using traditional working methods.

Fair trade is an effective tool for eradicating the poverty and inequalities generated by conventional international trade. Working for gender equality, the eradication of child labour and paying a decent price to the people who grow our ingredients, who organise themselves in cooperatives and make decisions in a democratic way.
Our cooperative is committed to social responsibility policies in all areas: with the producer cooperatives, maintaining long-term relationships; with the consumer, offering maximum quality and transparency; and internally, with policies of family reconciliation, team decision-making, environmentally sustainable surroundings and gender equality. Working in AlterNativa3 allows us to take part in the construction of a better reality in which people are above economic profit.
The producing cooperatives cultivate the products according to traditional, environmentally friendly techniques. No chemicals or artificial additives, which are harmful to health and nature, are used in the further processing.
