-Made in India by the fair trade cooperative Fair Gift. Fair Gift: it is a fair trade cooperative from Chennai, the capital of the state of Tamil Nadu, which since 2013 has been dedicated to the production of handcrafts and textiles.

-With the purchase of this bag you contribute to the women who make it have better living conditions thanks to the fruit of their work.

-Kalamkari: it is made with the Kalamkari technique, an ancient printing technique. Only 100% natural dyes are used. The word Kalamkari comes from the Turkish word “kalam” which means “calamus”, the utensil used to make these prints.
The colors are obtained by boiling different plants, their roots, their stems and/or their flowers, depending on the color to be extracted. There is only one exception that does not come from plants: black, which is extracted from iron.
The fabrics are painted by hand with the help of a pen (kama) or by woodcut. Contours and motifs are drawn with a bamboo tip dipped in a mixture of fermented jagré and water; then applying vegetable tinctures one by one.
After each colour, the kalamkari is washed so each fabric can undergo up to 20 washes. The entire process takes about 40 days.

-Practical: they fold inside the smallest bag to carry it comfortably with you always.

-Reusable and eco-friendly.
