La Coordi is looking for a project technician

We are looking for a technical project manager to join the LaCoordi team. The person chosen will join LaCoordi's technical team to carry out the ongoing project. Specifically, he/she will be responsible for the territorial dynamisation and activities related to supporting the Xarxa Cafè Ciutat, and the implementation of the Cities for Fair Trade initiative in Catalonia.
The Coordinating Committee for Fair Trade and Ethical Finance - LaCoordi - is a second-degree organisation that brings together SETEM Catalonia, Alternativa3, HECHOS - Ethical Finance, the Fiare Catalonia Association, Oxfam Intermón and the Solidarity Economy Network (XES), all of which are the driving forces behind the "We are Fair Trade and Ethical Banking" campaign in Catalonia. LaCoordi responds to the need to make visible the relationship between Fair Trade, Solidarity Economy and Ethical Finance and their social and environmental impact on a local and global scale. To strengthen alliances and weave new networks that promote a global economic change that puts life and the planet at the centre. LaCoordi is supported by several public co-funders (ACCD, DIBA) to develop its lines of work.
The Xarxa Cafè Ciutat, made up of eleven municipalities, has been promoting fair trade as a tool to promote the SDGs and global justice for more than ten years. The municipalities participating in the Cafè Ciutat Network are embarking on a new phase that aims to consolidate the work done so far and give a new impetus to the project with the support of LaCoordi.

The Cities for Fair Trade initiative is a proposal that brings small fair trade producers closer to citizens through public institutions. This title is held by more than 2,000 cities around the world, and LaCoordi will encourage the cities of Catalonia to set up Fair Trade Cities. It is hoped that this work will promote synergies and links, not only between local fair trade bodies and organisations, but also with cities all over the world.
